Synonymous for luxury, innovation and curated beauty, the Stephanies® collection of day spa’s as we know it today originated from humble beginnings in Camp Hill, Brisbane, in 1994 as Stephanies Natural Beauty.

Let it be known, the name behind the highly regarded and reputable luxury spa collection is Stephanie Shepherd, CEO and Founder.

There is no better time, our federal government has created a cost effective pathway to enrol to study within Beauty and Spa Therapy’s through registered training organisations.

TAFE Queensland has been a fantastic workforce partner within Stephanies Luxury Spas, for over 28 years, as well as a handful of smaller private registered training organisations in Brisbane. These training organisations have helped grow and develop wonderful new Beauty graduates.  

Last year we have broadened our partnership and we very proud to also be able to offer Certificate 4 beauty traineeships within Stephanies Luxury Spas, working alongside TAFE East Coast. We are very excited to say that we will soon be looking for a small handful of spa superstars across our spas, so if you are curious to begin a new career, now is the perfect time to set new yourself on a pathway of caring and serving others within a wonderful industry.

We have so many beautiful team stories to tell about our incredible and much loved team members own journeys who work within Stephanies. As well as past and much missed employees who were apart of the Stephanies fabric, which have helped us grow and make up apart of our strong foundations and journey.

With over seventy five staff employed within our Stephanies Luxury Spas. One of our key core values when our leadership teams are speaking to new team members, we instil the importance of having a professional spa culture of warmth and belonging. Being present; connecting with dignity, kindness, honesty, and respect for our guests and valuable spa teams.

Stephanies own beginning…. In the “compellingly beautiful, rugged and harsh terrain” of Broken Hill, built on “resilience and strong community bonds” is where, from a young age and poised with lipstick in hand, the vision for the Stephanies® brand was conceived.

Raised with great love and encouragement from her family, the idea of nurturing and caring for others was inevitable. At age 16, Stephanie left behind her collection of test recipes for homemade mud masks and moved to Adelaide, where in 1985, she completed her Diploma of Beauty Therapy, before returning briefly to work in Broken Hill, knowing that one day she would complete that unfinished project.

With over to 37 year’s experience, shared between beauty therapy, teaching and business development. Stephanie has become one of the most respected business leaders in the beauty, spa and wellness tourism industry. Her authentic style and care to support her industry peers to see them grow is with true passion and professionalism.

Stephanie has built a brand name that is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, unique internationally inspired spa treatments in a safe, welcoming environment that allows each guest to completely relax in anyone of her six globally Award-Winning Luxury Hotel and Urban day spas across South East Queensland, Australia.

With husband Desmond, and strong leadership teams by her side, Stephanie continues to take leaps of faith to grow and develop the Stephanies® brand, and to deliver upon her passion and business dreams. 

2022 is certainly here the best way to make your dreams come true and accomplish great things, we first must believe, so reach for the stars.. we can achieve anything we put our minds too!
