“Happy Birthday to Stephanies, Happy Birthday to Stephanies, Happy Birthday to Stephanies Happy Birthday to US…..” It’s not the Corona handwashing song in our head… it’s a real celebration and our Song!  

Stephanies Urban Spa, Bulimba turns 26!  What an achievement, an absolute blessing and a great opportunity for me to let you know about my humble beginnings, what we stand for and most importantly, to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to you and to all of our Clients for entrusting my wonderful teams and myself to care for you and provide you with divine beauty and spa treatments for 26 years!!  

 I am so proud and extremely grateful! 

I started in the beauty industry at 16 with a head full of ideas, dreams and visions.  I worked really hard, learning and evolving and opened Stephanies Bulimba in 1994 – a two treatment room salon where I worked six days and two nights a week, loving every moment and igniting a passion to create outstanding day spas that truly deliver an unforgettable experience in every aspect. 

And so the journey began, my business philosophy was established which guided decisions and actions then, and continues to guide Stephanies Luxury Spa Group today: 

“Embrace new technologies, respect ancient rituals, step away from the ordinary and create breathtaking treatments” 

This birthday celebration is a perfect time to say THANK YOU for embracing our philosophy, initiatives and for supporting us in the biggest challenged we have all had to face this year. 

From those two little treatment rooms in Camp Hill, we now have an outstanding team of therapists and spa managers, five exquisite Spa locations and a  fabulous Head Office in Murarrie. 

Securing success in an ever-changing world has been challenging as it is incredibly special and rewarding, however, we are always committed to delivering unsurpassed guest service and unparalleled spa therapies which has earned us a reputation for excellence within the Australian Beauty and Spa industry, together with 17 National and International Awards.  Again, our Birthday celebrations are a perfect time to say THANK YOU for your support and sharing your lives with us!

During these past few months of uncertainty and change, we have been looking forward to the day when we could welcome our guests back to our beautiful Stephanies spa locations.

For many including myself, it has been a time to reconnect to those who are important in my life and necessary in these trying times. Rekindling friendships, balancing relaxation with productivity, practicing self-care and, of course, dabbling in some ISO baking.

We are excited to announce that we will be reopening two of our award-winning Stephanies spas on Saturday 16th May, 2020.

Urban Spa, Bulimba and Vintage Spa, Cleveland will operate based on the reopening guidelines established by the Federal and QLD Government.  Our preliminary hours of business for both spas will be;

Sunday & Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Thursday & Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Our top priority has always been to bring an unparalleled safe experience of healing and rejuvenation to our Stephanies guests, and our resolve is stronger now than ever before. Our team has been hard at work to continue to raise the bar of hygiene and sanitation, as well as considering every step of the treatment process, to ensure we meet your needs in a focused and safe manner that is in accordance the Federal and QLD Government guidelines. While we focus on your safety and wellbeing, you enjoy your essential beauty treatment combined with Stephanies Luxury Spas experiences. We are excited to be opening our doors again to you.

After consultation and direction from the QLD Government there will be changes in the way we operate, these include changes in our spa therapy menu. For now, restricting some treatments including spray tanning, makeup, essential massage and water therapies.

We are very excited, however, to share with you that these changes have allowed us to come together to customise our beautiful rituals. Our luxurious Stephanies Signature Skin treatment will now include a fragrant rose petal foot soak and exfoliation, high performance facial and extended facial and scalp massage (amended for a limited time) – indulgence, yes!

Please take the time to review changes to the way in which we will operate under these revised guidelines including our COVID19 Health, Safety and Wellness Statement, which outlines our commitment to you, the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of staff and guests, our reservation process and prescreening policy.

Our spas will continue to follow the QLD Government and Safe Work Australia regulations. As we receive additional guidance, our policies and practices will be updated accordingly.

STEPHANIES COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY AND WELLNESS STATEMENT

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to Stephanies® Luxury Spas.

We have always upheld the strictest Health & Safety guidelines within our spas and now that our spas are beginning to re-open from the COVID 19 forced closures, we are taking additional measures in maintaining our high sanitation standards. This is critical for both reducing the spread of communicable diseases and ensuring peace of mind and safety for guests and Stephanies® employees.

Please take the time to read the below information for the safety of our clients and our employees. 

  • Stephanies® is following QLD and Federal Government Regulations and Stephanies® strict guidelines, including those related to occupancy levels, social distancing and other measures intended to reduce the spread of any virus.
  • Guests appointments will not be accepted if there are any signs of sickness, especially a cough, fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
  • If a guest or staff member becomes ill while in the spa, we will be following our Stephanies® guidelines and will send guests/staff members home.
  • Stephanies® employees will be unable to work if they are sick or exhibiting symptoms of illness, especially a cough, fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath
  • Stephanies® team members will be regularly sanitising all communal areas, high touch points, treatment suites and bathrooms; according to Safe Work Australia and Stephanies® policies and procedures.
  • Clients are encouraged to use cashless transactions, using our touch/swipe/no signature technology. If cash transaction are unavoidable, staff members will wash and sanitise their hands after each transaction.

THE EXTRA STEPS WE ARE TAKING FOR EVERYONE’S PROTECTION

  • We are taking extra precautions in our Spas and Cleveland Gift Shop, including occupancy levels, social distancing and other measures as outlined below. 
  • Stephanies® will be greeting our spa guests with a no-touch welcome. Asking guests to wash hands prior to treatments or sanitise with the hand sanitiser provided throughout each location 
  • Therapists will maintain correct hand hygiene throughout your treatment and will refrain from touching their own faces during any services  
  • Personal Protective Equipment will be supplied for use by the guest, if they choose, during services, including disposable gloves and facemasks. 
  • Please respect our social distancing signs and protection-screens in reception spaces. 
  • Clients must not be barefoot when entering our spa locations. Clients should use their own shoes where possible. 
  • Stephanies® guests will not be changed into spa robes or slippers for the next three months (until at least August 2020). Disposable slippers can be provided if required. 
  • Unfortunately, we will be unable to serve our individual spa tea rituals and spa refreshments menu or our communal tea bar stations. 
  • Disposable cups will be provided for drinking water.  
  • No tester displays of Candles. Diffusers or Skincare products will be accessible. Treatment menus, magazines, books will be removed from reception or lounge spaces 
  • If there is a delay between appointments alternative waiting arrangement may be appropriate eg clients waiting in their cars until contacted 

CLIENT BOOKINGS AND SCHEDULING   

  • As per Australian Government Guidelines, social distancing rules apply with the number of clients on the premises at one time. (1 person per 4 square metres), Stage 1 – 10 people maximum at any one time and Stage 2 – 20 people maximum at any one time  
  • Guest arrival times will be staggered in 5-10 min increments, this will avoid congestion and help us adhere to social distancing rules 
  • Clients are to come in alone, friends, family and children cannot wait in the spa reception spaces. 
  • Couples or small groups bookings will need to follow our social distancing rules and these will be managed individually depending on circumstances. 
  • Treatments are preferred by appointment only, ensuring our pre appointment wellbeing form and verbal checks are completed prior to arrival and noted in the client POS system.  
  • Pre registration of your  booking requests can be made online please visit  www.stephanies.com.au  
  • All appointments will be scheduled to allow for breaks in between appointments for cleaning and sanitising of treatment rooms, all touch points, and of course fresh clean linen for every guest. 
  • Stephanies® will be conducting in-house and external Covid 19 training for every employee. Each Spa will have a designated Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance. 

GUEST APPOINTMENT RESERVATION PROCESS 

All appointments made at Stephanies® will be asked to confirm personal details including Full Name, DOB, Contact Number, Address and Email address. These details are also required for any sales in our Gift Shop at Cleveland Spa. (this is a Federal Government requirement).

Our normal booking and cancelation policies apply and we will request a credit card to secure your appointment.

If you do need to cancel or change your booking please let us know ASAP or at least 24 hours in advance.

Clients who are sick, you will not be charged a cancellation fee throughout Covid 19.

Client Appointment Screening – required prior to all bookings.

Have you or anyone in your household travelled overseas or interstate in the last 14 days? 
Have you or someone in your household had personal contact with anyone who has travelled overseas or interstate in the last 14 days who is showing symptoms of COVID 19?  
Is there anyone living at your house who is under self-isolation?  
Have you or someone in your household had contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have COVID 19 in the last 14 days?  
Are you or someone in your household currently unwell, including mild illness? Eg fever, cough, sore throat, flu-like symptoms, nausea.  
Upon arrival at the Spa, we will provide our clients with Hand Sanister. 
We kindly ask that you attend your appointment on your own, unfortunately, we are unable to have friends or family members wait whilst you are in the spa. 

SPA OPENINGS

  • Stephanies® will be opening our five spa locations in two increments based on the Roadmap to easing Queensland restrictions. Stage two openings for Sofitel, Clear Mountain & Noosa to be advised ASAP.
  • Our Stephanies® Head Office will be open Monday – Friday, please call 1300DAYSPA

TREATMENT RETURN STAGES – ROADMAP TO EASING QUEENSLAND RESTRICTIONS

Please note the below treatments are not available in Stage 1 of the Roadmap to Recovery. No bookings will be available for the below treatments in Stage 1.  If you have a Gift Card that is for the below treatments, we can extend your Gift Card expiry date or your Gift Card can be reverted to a dollar amount so you can select other services that are currently available. 

  • Relaxation Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Hot Stone Crystal Massage, Sacred Queen signature treatment or any seasonal promotions that may have incorporated Relaxation Massage will be available in Stage 2. 
  • Bookings for the Opal Rasul Steam Temple, Steam Lounge, Vichy Shower Suite, Mineral Flotation Pool, Hydro and Bath Therapy Suites are unavailable until Stage 3.  
  • Signature Skin Treatment will not incorporate a Hot Stone Back Massage in Stage 1.  Instead we will be incorporating an additional luxurious extended Facial and Scalp Massage plus including a Thalgo High Performance Intensive Mask Upgrade.

COVIDSAFE APP

We encourage both our clients and staff to download the Governments COVIDSAFE App. This app speeds up contacting people exposed to Coronavirus. This helps health officials support and protect you, your friends and family.
