A Mother’s Day Message from Stephanie, Founder, Stephanies Luxury Spas

Mother’s Day has always held a very special place in my heart.

Over the years, through the many beautiful moments shared inside our spas, I have had the privilege of meeting so many extraordinary women… mothers, grandmothers, daughters and women who nurture the lives of those around them with such generosity and love. They are the quiet heroes of everyday life, often placing the needs of everyone else before their own.

Mother’s Day also brings me back to my own childhood and to my mum, Joyce. I grew up in Broken Hill alongside my brother Greg in a home filled with warmth, laughter and a strong sense of family. Mum had a beautiful way of caring for everyone around her, creating a loving home where kindness and resilience were simply part of everyday life. Looking back now, I realise how much those early years shaped me. Watching the quiet strength and generosity of my mum taught me so much about nurturing others, lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to guide the way I care for our guests today.

When I founded Stephanies many years ago, my vision was to create more than just a spa. I wanted to create a sanctuary, a place where people could step away from the pressures of everyday life and reconnect with themselves through moments of calm. That philosophy continues to guide everything we do today, and it feels especially meaningful when we celebrate Mother’s Day.
